LEX. A GREEN HAVEN FOR A RENOVATED HOUSE
Surface : Garden & Pool | Area : 300m2 | Location : Vandoeuvres
This beautiful building located in the heart of a village in the Geneva countryside has been completely renovated. We created a custom garden for our clients, harmoniously integrating a pool into the garden. The entrance to the house is defined by an enclosed garden with a bike parking area, outlined by existing boxwood lines and pruned osmanthus shapes. A generous jasmine arch overhangs the entrance, the mailbox, and the intercoms.

Gates and doors ensure privacy and security for this welcoming space. All the metalwork elements were designed by Mint Gardens. The back part of the garden, spacious and open, includes different levels. The pool was designed parallel to the house’s facade. The pre-existing terrace with cat’s head cobblestones was reshaped and renovated, enhanced with a small wall and two olive trees revealed by transparent pruning. Another terrace with natural stone was created to form an intermediate level. A large planted box, designed with broken lines, softens the separating wall with the neighboring plot and adds depth to the terrace.
Finally, a wooden deck was placed on the upper level of the garden to provide a new viewpoint of the house and its facade adorned with jasmines and wisterias. The garden lighting highlights all the planted areas, the pool, and the terrace, creating a warm and adjustable night ambiance.
SOLAR. A GARDEN ON A ROOFTOP
Surface : Terrace | Area : 150m2 | Location : Genève
We created a fully vegetated terrace for our clients, a true hanging garden with a view of the Salève. By intervening early in the building’s construction process, Mint Gardens coordinated with the construction companies for landscaping, anticipating certain networks, in accordance with safety standards and slab load constraints. The apartment has many openings to the outside, so we had to envision different uses for this terrace.

A wooden deck with gravel sets the scene, consisting of an outdoor lounge extended by a veranda. The linear architecture contrasts with a broken-line design of planted masses and the addition of ceramic pots. A wooden shelter was designed to provide additional storage space. The shadier part of the terrace allows for cool relaxation on the gravel area around a fire bowl. Finally, rectangular boxes on the street-facing side ensure the privacy of living spaces. Composed of shrubs, climbing plants, and a mix of perennials, they create a pleasant foreground visible from the openings in all seasons. The plantings are adapted to dry soils to minimize water inputs. The palette, mainly composed of evergreen plants in a matrix and punctuated by upright flowering plants, is designed to remain expressive year-round. The terrace’s backlighting highlights the vegetation, and the selected lighting fixtures create a pleasant atmosphere in any season.
POINT. A GRAPHIC URBAN GARDEN
Surface : Garden & Patio | Area : 800m2 | Location : Chêne Bourg
This atypical space is located within a building constructed on a former wasteland. The clients wanted to regain privacy and enjoy beautiful framed views of the garden from the building’s numerous openings. Additionally, the entrance needed to be reworked through a fully vegetated patio and the terraces rethought. The building’s architecture now harmonizes with the vegetation, creating a true green haven.

Finally, the entrance was redesigned: brick lines integrated into the asphalt define the space bordered by planted strips, a gravel garden with a parking space, and a custom bike shed.
Photos were taken a few months after the garden was planted.
MAIDO. A GARDEN IN A PARK
Surface : Garden | Area : 25m2 | Location : Coppet
I had the great pleasure of creating a garden in the magnificent park of Château de Coppet for the Jardins en Fête festival. In a relatively small space, I wanted to create a restful, intimate place; a place where one feels good.
This garden reflects my universe.

I paid special attention to the blooms and foliage, as well as the scents, colors, and textures of the plants. In this garden, the bright blooms of spurges sit alongside the bronze foliage of ninebarks, winged euonymus, and serviceberries that will delight the eye in autumn.
The incredible bloom of the snowbell tree adds lightness to the composition. The lilacs perfume this space dedicated to relaxation.
AGAPE. A POETIC NATURALISTIC GARDEN
Surface : Garden & Pool | Area : 1’200m2 | Location : Vandoeuvres
Our clients wanted a garden with a calm and serene atmosphere, inviting a peaceful retreat from daily life. This garden also needed to be functional and an extension of their renovated home.
Inspired by the rhythm and uses of the house, we developed different ambiances. Thus, the access alley leading to the garage is bordered by planted beds and beautiful raised trees that accompany it while maintaining the element of surprise towards the open garden.

This space, connected to the main openings of the house, includes a renovated pool. A wooden terrace near the pool is perfect for summer evenings. The planted bed bordering it offers a visual and physical experience through the garden and leads to the custom-designed wood storage area, integrated at the property line, near the house, and the wood delivery area. The terraces against the house allow for enjoyment of this backdrop of vegetation and minerals, with an aesthetic that varies with the seasons.
LIA . A GARDEN COMBINING PLANTS AND MINERALS
Surface : Garden | Area : 300m2 | Location : Collonge-Bellerive
The owner of this garden, an interior architect, has a keen taste for materials and their patina. We created a lush garden for her, relying on the structure and framework of the existing garden. It was all about blending plants and minerals, working on the plant palette to bring graphic design and rhythm to the space.

We integrated a Nordic bath into the vegetation at the foot of the stairs and designed a new pathway in front of the house, combining reclaimed stones and ground-cover plants to blur the edges and lines. The rounded shapes of the garden soften the perspectives and can be seen from the house’s walkways overlooking this charming, abundant garden.
